Summary/Objective: 

 

School psychologist for Preschool Early Intervention for students with Autism, multiple disabilities, and other health impairments.  Various locations throughout lower Bucks County.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Knowledge of early childhood assessment
  • Experience with developing an Individualized Education Program (IEP)
  • Ability to assume role as lead team member in conducting evaluations and holding IEP meetings
  • Ability to collaborate with team members
  • Ability to work closely with families and collaborate with them
  • Knowledge of diagnostics, and ability to teach others regarding the assessment process, including test administration and interpretation
  • Knowledge of PBIS and the Teaching Pyramid
  • Familiarity with the role of coaching in supporting teachers with classroom-based practices

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand for long periods, and to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

 

This is a full-time, stretch calendar position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Travel: Various locations throughout Bucks County 

 

 

Education and Experience: 

 

Level of Degree: 

  • Master's Degree, 
  • School Psychologist Certification PK-12

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Knowledge of Federal and Pennsylvania Special Education regulations, Functional Behavior Assessments, Individual Positive Behavior Support Plans
  • Skills in diagnostics, consultation, collaboration with students, staff and parents, and a strong willingness to learn 
  • Handle itinerant caseload in Early Intervention throughout Bucks county area  
  • Familiarity with Pelican
